Fishing report 11 Mar-22 Mar

I’ve been fishing everyday for the last two weeks; It has been awesome! I already posted some pics of the big peacock and largemouths I caught, but there’s been more, much more.  The largemouth bite on kenansville and the stick marsh has been good on some days and dynamite on others. Kissimmee and okeechobee have been fishing anywhere from poor on one day to phenomenal the next.  It’s been a weird deal.

I started the week off with Steve and Jandy from pa on a multi-day trip. We hit the stickmarsh and kenansville on day for one some steady largemouth action. Next day, we hit Kissimmee in the am and quickly decided to jump over to Jackson. It was the right thing to do.  On a really windy day with muddying water, we scratched out some nice fish and salvaged the trip.

I ran a trip to okeechobee with some folks from Canada. Mike and his BIL Jeff along with their boys Tye and Trey got a taste of all Okeechobee has to offer. On a beautiful day for fishing and watching giant gators, we caught some nice largemouth and of course a few cats as well.  I always have a blast with kids and these boys were fun to fish with. Great day.

I had the pleasure of having Robert and Brian from Jersey on okeechobee for a half day trip. The lure bite wasn’t happening, but they were eating shiners. On a side note, Robert caught the biggest channel cat I’ve ever seen on okeechobee. It was a beast!!!

I spent a great day on the lake with Josh and his son Ben from Ohio on okeechobee.  I truly have a great time seeing kids catch fish and enjoying the outdoors. Ben was itching to go and ready to tangle with some okeechobee mommas. We ran around a bit, but eventually found a good one. Ben now has a 5lber to his name!

I fun fished a bunch with my buddy NC Rob on several lakes. He had the distinct pleasure of watching me put a beating on some fish in Kissimmee, lake ida and Kenansville. It was fun to crush em and spend time on the water with a friend.

This morning, I had Dan, Joe and Erica out for a half day kenansville trip to remember. Dan and Erica started off with a couple quick bites and I was thinking, it’s on… the bite died for a few hours before Joe broke out the big guns and hammered a 5 and an 8.02 largemouth. That’s kenansville for you. Even on a slow day, the fish of a lifetime is waiting around the corner…. I had a blast with these guys and hope to do it again in the future!
