Book a trip: (254) 291-6332

Jan 28-Well, the weather has sucked here the last week. If it wasn’t cold and windy, it was raining, cold, and windy. I had to cancel two trips due to weather.  Bottom line, I don’t want to take someone out fishing if the weather sucks and we will not catch em.

Enough of me crying, got out today on okeechobee with Rob from North Carolina. It was cold and windy, but we had shiners and caught fish. We had to move around, burn a bunch of gas, and fish hard to find them, but we did. We didn’t tangle with any Florida giants… however, we did manage a couple in the 4lb range and I was happy to get that. We fished near Clewiston on inside grass lines and the north shore. We must of ran into about 15 different boats practicing for the costa.  They all had the same thing in common, zero fish. It was tough out there on the lure bites. I hope the water warms up over the next two days to give these guys a better shot at the lake. Off to Kissimmee tomorrow to tangle with some giants!!!
