Overall the past month, fishing has been fantastic. However, I had a couple trips where the weather didn’t cooperate.
The shiner fishing on headwaters has been great to dynamite! One month ago, I took a crew from Boston on a 2 boat trip. We had a 10 and 11 the same day. During this month, I have many other big fish as well and good numbers too. A few days ago the Boston boys came down for round 2. On the last day of the trip, just my boat had two 8s (on back to back casts), two 7s, two, 6s and a few fives along with around 30 other fish about 3-4 lbs. It was awesome!
The bite on Kissimmee has been hit or miss. One day it sucks and the next, you crack a 30lb sack. Garcia is putting out numbers and stick marsh is fishing well when you don’t have a north wind. Kenansville is starting to come around and should get better with the warming weather.
I have the next 3 days off due to a cancellation. I still have a few days available in April. Give me a shout if you want to get on the water and tangle with some giants.
I have another guide working with me that can flat out catch em. So if you’re looking for a multi-boat trip, I can make arrangements. Additionally, if I’m already booked for a day that your interested in fishing, I can get you out with him.
Lastly, if you see someone throwing braided fishing line in the water, please sock them in the face. I recently had a great trip (clients got a 9.7) ruined when I knew my lower unit and found braid had compromised the seals leading to failure.
See you on the water,
Scott
